I think this might sound racist, but...?

Why are there always more (majority, only sometimes) black people in shoe stores than any other race?

I think this might sound racist, but...?
Well I think it%26#039;s the type of shoe store you go to..if you go to an Italian Leather shoe store..i%26#039;m sure you wouldn%26#039;t see as much Black people as you would when you go to a Foot Locker,or any other Sports shoe store. Black people tend to dress Urban..and they like wearing the new Jay%26#039;s..hey I do too! And i%26#039;m not black..I%26#039;m Mexican! Urban people love keeping up with the newest kicks they got out..we%26#039;ll spend a couple hundred too!
Reply:maybe they got a taste for shoes.wats wrong wid that?
Reply:Probably because you notice them being in there... you go there and with all the white folks I see wearing the exact same sneakers that blacks wear also I am sure that they do their share of shopping in those stores
Reply:Because we like our shoes to match every outfit we have. I have quite a few pair that only go with a certain skirt or pair of jeans... We don%26#039;t tend to wear old and scruffy tennis shoes because it looks tacky...
Reply:Maybe because they like shoes. I would like a fresh pair of Nikes myself.
Reply:Maybe you just go to stores they like? When I go to shoe stores the majority of the people there are white.
Reply:We are........humm that%26#039;s funny because I don%26#039;t even try to go in the shoe section at Nordstroms (Off the Rack)........Its over crowded with white females and males.........from 20-60

I don%26#039;t even bother any more.
Reply:sorry i haven%26#039;t noticed. i guess it would be different in other areas
Reply:never seen that before.they like to shop like the rest of us,i like a bargain to.no biggy
Reply:well, i%26#039;m Latina and i no that were i live ( which the majority is Latino and African-American) we really care about our appearence. Whether is clothes or shoes The plain fact is WE LIKE TO SHOP!!!! Maybe african-americans like to shop a lil%26#039; more then whites. aint nothin wrong with that.
Reply:Because (And I dont mean to sound racist) They wear their shoes out faster by running from the police!
Reply:In the united states, black people are the largest consumer group when it comes to spending than any other group of people as shown by statistics. Where you tend to see them, may just be a mere coincidence, or maybe you are subconsciously making a racial correlation.
Reply:I loooooove shoes.

The only time I notice other people in shoe stores is when they%26#039;re reaching for a pair I want!

I guess it%26#039;s kinda like that %26quot;Air Force One%26quot; song--in hip-hop culture, you usually need fresh shoes and you ditch %26#039;em once they get scuffed or dirty. Check out the lyrics to that song.

So you%26#039;d need lots of shoes.

But for non-rappers, IDK. Maybe they follow the same principle.
Reply:BECAUSE THAT IS PART OF THEIR CULTURE. RECALL THAT MANY OF THEM ARE VERY INVOLVED IN BASKETBALL AND OTHER WANT TO DRESS LIKE RAPERS OR BASKETBALL PLAYERS.
Reply:I honestly have no idea why you feel that way. I notice mostly white women in the shoe stores I go into. Maybe it depends on the type of shoe store it is.
Reply:Oh, Lor%26#039; a%26#039;maghty Massah George! Deys dem uppity ****** fro de norf, Ah do deyclare!
