Can I wear the same spikes as I do for indoor mid-distance races?

Well, I have these Nike XC spikes that I bought for indoor mid-distance races. Is it okay to run with them in outdoor tracks since it is harsher? I%26#039;m also thinking about trying out 400m hurdles, pole vault, long jump, and/or triple jump to make spring track a bit more interesting. Will my spikes be suitable for these events also? My shoes has 4-spikee on the forefoot.

They should be fine. But I suggest you buy some more because they are going to get worn down if you use them for everything.

Good luck
Reply:yes
Reply:Good advice from all so far.

Here%26#039;s another way to go:

Test them

Try several runs with the spikes, your practice shoes, and maybe even a borrowed pair of different spikes.

My expectation is that you%26#039;ll find them better than non-spikes, and maybe not as good as specialized spikes. Given that, can you afford 6 pairs of spikes?-)

Best of luck this season,

Reply:i guess so, i have those spikes for xc. If you are a serious sprinter you want to get spikes that have more spikes in them. Those only have 4, some shoes have 12. If you are just doing this for fun they will work just fine!
Reply:I run outdoor track and events inbetween 800meters and 55 meters. There is a pretty big difference between 55 meters and 800, but I still use the same. Your spikes have cushion in the back so they look alright for hurdling and long jump. The only thing is they might wear and tear on your ankle after many uses expecially if you are using them two or more times a week, wich you should not be doing in the first place.

I use my Nike Zoom spikes for all of my event.
