Sticking clutch!! help!!?

my 49cc cag pocket bike 3-shoe clutch is sticking or something, i have brand new racing springs on it, i have lubed it up, put the springs the right way etc, and the accelerator cable is fine aswell, but when i start it , the pinion cog keeps spinning when im not even reving at all, along with the back wheel plz help!! :(

Check your clutch adjustment. That might be your problem.
Reply:Your type of clutch is supposed to engage according to engine rpm. Be sure it is idling at recommended rpm. You can experiment with adjusting the idle down a little at a time to see if it disengages. (stops the rear wheel from spinning)


It is possible it is idled up too high.


Check for play in the outer clutch hub and be sure it doesn't wiggle up and down and side to side. If so, you will need to replace the bushing or bearing. A ringing noise in this area usually is an indication of a worn bearing/bushing for it is not supposed to touch the inner clutch mechanism until the centrifugal force opens the three clutch arms against the inside of the outer hub.


If the outer hub has a brass bearing/bushing and was replaced incorrectly, the inner edge of this bearing/bushing could be flared and stuck to the spindle therefore causing the rear wheel to spin.
