Ok i ran a 3200m race today, in 12:41, pr, all is good la dee dah, however, after the race my knees have been very sore, and i have another race tomorrow, at least 4 events actually and i know the 1 and 2 mile are among them, any advice to at least dull the pain for the races? i warm up, stretch, and do a run out before my races, idk what else i can do, im wearing proper running shoes, and on a good surface running track, help!

Knee pain, antidotes?
ibuprofen (painkillers), and ice your going to b sore for a while haha have fun
Reply:Ok what part of the knee? your best bet is to elevate it high and ice for 2 of/the 10 min. between session massage, stretching the surrounding area. check/stretch your thigh area. then you need to try to identify the cause? Now if its Severe pain (particularly in the joints, ligaments, or tendons) usually indicates a serious injury of some sort, and you may need to pick the lesser of the 4 events. If you get to good nights rest and a good warm up tomorrow of stretching and/or exercising until you feel sufficiently recovered, then go for it, but be true to your body pain.... good luck! hope you get better...
